Department Profile and Programs
Welcome to the Department of Finance of the University of Dar es Salaam Business School (UDBS). As one of four teaching departments in the school, the department offers courses and degree programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate (masters and doctoral) levels that provide students with the skills necessary for success in a wide variety of careers. These include corporate finance, investment, banking, insurance, financial management, economics and microfinance.

The Department of Finance has members of staff with wide variety of interests in finance, economics and banking related areas. They are frequent contributors to scholarly journals in finance and are involved in a number of research and consultancies as well as provision of public services such as serving in various boards of directors of public and private entities.and are engaged in many different professional activities.
